BDE Identification Error Codes And How to Solve Them



Not every issue with your doors will require an engineer to come out. Here is a list of the 11 most common BDE errors you might experience with your doors, including how you can resolve them and which codes will need an engineer to be called out.

The error codes below can be resolved without calling an engineer out



BDE error 59 SIS Active

59 - SIS>60sec Active

The sensor in the middle of the door has been activated longer than 60 second.

Solution

Please ensure that there are no objects or people in the field of view of the sensors. This fault will disappear once the area is clear.

The door sensors may also need to be wiped clean.


BDE Error 47 SIO Active

47 - SIO>60sec active

Sensors at the side of the door have been activated longer than 60 seconds and the door will open very slowly.

Solution

Please ensure that there are no objects or people in the field of view of the sensors. This fault will disappear once the area is clear.


BDE Error 59 ELS Active

59 - ELS>60sec active

The photocell light beams that cover the threshold area of the door have been activated longer than 60 seconds.

Solution

Please ensure that there are no objects or people in the field of view of the sensors. This fault will disappear once the area is clear.


BDE Error 5 AKA Active

5 - AKA>60sec Active

The outside radar has been activated longer than 60 seconds.

Solution

Please ensure that there are no objects or people in the field of view of the sensors. This fault will disappear once the area is clear.


BDE Error 48 NSK SOK Activated

48 - NSK/SOK Activated

The fire alarm signal has been activated to the doors.  

Solution

Please reset fire alarm.

BDE Error 3 AKI Active

3 - AKI>60sec Active

The inside radar/activation device has been activated longer than 60 seconds

Solution

Please ensure that there are no objects or people in the field of view of the sensors. This fault will disappear once the area is clear.

BDE Error 55 Power Failure

55 - Power Failure

The mains power supply to the doors has been switched off.


10 - Locking Error

This indicates that the lock has not engaged correctly.  

Solution

Place the doors to fully open and try to relock once again - if this is not successful please raise a call.  

Door can be put to manual and closed and locked via the manual locks.

 

BDE Error 14 VAK Defective

14 - VAK Defective

Solution

Please follow procedure as in number 10 for locking error.

BDE Error 61 SSK Active

61 - SSK Active

Breakglass/Fire alarm/morning entry keyswitch is activating the door.

Solution

  1. Check morning entry key switch is in start upright position as can be pulled out once turned   
  2. Access control could be holding signal
  3. Has break glass been pressed?
  4. Check fire panel

The error code below will require an engineer to be called out

BDE Error 11 BAT Capacity

11 - BAT Capacity

The emergency battery requires attention.  

Solution

Please raise a non urgent callout.  Door can be closed manually and locked.
