Record UK are please to announce their success in bidding for the automatic door maintenance and repair business for Tesco in the UK. The contract is for all stores and is believed to involve over 1500 doors throughout the country. 247 Door Maintenance, Record’s service division will look after the business which begins in early October 2007.


August 2007 - Record's Acquisition of Blasi

Blasi Automatic DoorsRecord have announced the acquisition of German door company Blasi. Founded in 1972 by current MD Peter Blasi the company have grown to become one of the worlds most prestigious door companies specialising in revolving doors, underground sliding and swing door operators as well as other be-spoke door solutions.

Clients of Blasi include architects Lord Norman Foster of Foster and Partners, Zaha Hadid and Renzo Piano. Record UK will begin marketing Blasi products from October 2007.

October 2006 - New Product Launch – DFA 127

Record UK launches new automatic swing operator the new DFA 127 product line which is a new drive generation that can be used as the basis for many different swing door operator applications. Thanks to it’s modular design and the latest technology with spring tension that can be adjusted to suit different applications. The new product generation has a uniform concept, is extremely quiet and is for all types of installations including fully automatic, low energy and inverse.

 


 

September 2006 - Flip-flow – first UK installation at Glasgow Airport.

Record UK have installed the first set of Flip Flow doors into the domestic arrivals at Glasgow Airport. The doors which act as a one way pedestrian traffic flow between air and land side have helped BAA ensure stricter security at the airport.

The installation has already had approval from the Dept. of Transport and it is hoped they may be installed throughout all the UK’s major Airports.

September 2005 - Abbey – record secure new works.

record have secured an order from Abbey for the replacement of their automatic doors, involving over a hundred branches, this marks the first major project the new record UK has secured. Work is due to start mid October for completion before the end of December 2005.


July 2005 – Premier become record UK Limited

After the successful acquisition of Premier Systems by Swiss company agta-record Premier have merged their business with the UK subsidiary of agta. The new company will trade as record UK
Limited and have it’s headquarters in Wishaw Scotland with a regional distribution depot in Camberley in Surrey. The new company will continue to offer all the same products as Premier but will also grow it’s automatic door activities.

 


 

December 2004 – Premier Systems complete RBS DDA Roll out programme.

Premier System’s are close to completing what is believed to be the largest roll out programme of Automatic Door installations for any one client.

The Royal Bank of Scotland Group committed themselves to implementing works so as to comply with The Disability Discrimination Act and in doing so where practical looked to install some form of automatic door system.

Involving in excess of 1200 branches including the Nat West throughout the UK Premier where at their height installing into more than 50 branches per week to six main contractors.

 


 

July 2004 – Premier Automatic Door Systems launch ‘Opening your doors for others!’ brochure.

Premier System’s latest literature is a brochure dedicated to the Automatic Door Systems offered by the group.

The brochure is designed to show how Premier’s method of both factory manufacture and on-site installation make our installs far more efficient than our competitors.

Other items include the various systems on offer as well as offering practical advice with regards to The Disability Discrimination Act.

August 2003 – Premier Automatic Door Systems launch Door Maintenance company.

Premier Automatic Door Systems have launched 247 Door Maintenance Limited. The new company will specialise in Planned Maintenance and Reactive Call Outs for all types of commercial doors.

Based within Premiers offices in Wishaw the new company plans within the next 12 months to have Door Engineers within all regions of the UK.

 

Whether Manual or Automatic Doors, Roller Shutters or Security Doors and Barriers 247 Door Maintenance offer a 365 days a year 24 hour service.

 


 

June 2003 – Extended production office completed.

Due to a continued increase in sales Premier have extended their offices in Wishaw to accommodate the ever growing contracts department.

The newly formed office is treble glazed to eliminate any noise from the adjacent manufacturing area and air-conditioned to create a pleasant working environment.

 


 

April 2003 – CNC Investment for manufacturing of doors/frames.

Premier Automatic Door Systems have purchased and installed a new CNC machine centre.

The Phantomatic T4 is a 3 axes CNC machining centre with total operator protection and reduced noise levels.

The installation of the machine will cut down time on the machining of aluminium profiles previously carried out by a manually operated copy router.

 


 

March 2003 – Automatic Door Showroom

BI-FOLDING DOORS

record Automatic Door Systems have opened what is believed to be Scotland’s only showroom dedicated to Automatic Door systems.

LOW ENERGY SWING DOORS

The showroom is ideal for architects, designers, property owners and contractors to see the different door systems available and be given advice on the best options for individual projects.


BI-PARTING SLIDING DOORS

The fully operational showroom includes examples of Fully Automatic and Low Energy doors as well as Sliding and Bi-folding doors.

PUSH PAD ON REMOTE POST

The showroom also contains all types of accessories associated with automatic door installations including Barriers, Push Pads and Remote Posts.

January 2002 – Premier Automatic Door Systems relocate to Garrion Business Park, Wishaw.

Premier Automatic Door Systems re-located from their premises in Coatbridge to Garrion Business Park in Wishaw, 20 miles South of Glasgow.

 

The new premises consist of over 30,000 square feet of manufacturing/office space. The move is designed to allow Premier Automatic Door Systems to grow to become a truly national company within the next two years.

 

The offices have been fitted out to the highest standard offering staff a bright and fresh atmosphere to work in.

 


 

May 1999 - Buchanan Galleries, Premier Automatic Door Systems in the frame of things.

The opening of Buchanan Galleries shopping centre in the heart of Glasgow has turned to almost being a showroom for the Shopfronts and Roller Shutters supplied by Premier. With names such as Comet, Carphone Warehouse, Levi and Nike all having Premier's Shopfronts and Roller Shutters installed.

By completion of the new Mall, Premier had installed in excess of over 20 Shopfronts/Roller Shutters within the centre.
